Positive: I absolutely cannot recommend Casa Ghiggi enough. My partner, my sister and I stayed here for a week and we had the best holiday of our life. The host Monika and her two sons were extremely kind and welcoming, with nothing too much trouble for them. They gave us great tips for the local area as well as tips for pizza, helicopter rides and local markets. The view from the pool and apartment is stunning, and we were fortunate enough to have sun all day every day. There is a barbecue area in the garden which was a beautiful way to spend the evening. The apartment itself was lovely and spacious and decorated with love. There is absolutely nothing they haven't thought of. There is only one bedroom which has a double bed and a fold out single bed for the third person. This was not a problem for us as we spent all our time outside! There is a well equipped kitchen with two balconies overlooking the lake and a roll out canopy to shelter from the sun! There is a lot to do in Lake Maggiore, and we recommend visiting the fresh water pools at Verzasca Valley, getting the ferry from Brissago to Ascona for the evening, Sunday morning market in Cannobio as well as the pizza place on the high street (not the fancy place!). Thank you Monika & Family, We will be back!

Negative: Nothing, it was perfect. There was no air conditioning in the apartment so it was fairly warm at night, but we didn't experience air con anywhere else, and we resolved this by leaving the windows open. The apartments are at the top of a big hill but this is a ten minute walk, probably not suitable if not comfortable walking uphill.
