This beautifully renovated two-room apartment in charming, old, newly renovated chalet near Les Diablerets (Vaud) is offered for rent preferably for the entire winter season (December to April) and by the week/month in the summer/fall. The apartment has been furnished in a style combining local rustic antiques and modern furnishings.
There is a large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a living room with a dining area and new kitchenette, a large modern bathroom with washer/dryer. The flat has an independent entrance and its own ski storage area.
Chalet Chocolat is located in the stunning preserved village of Vers l'Eglise, with many chalets dating to the 16th and 17th Centuries. The chalet is 100 meters from ski lifts, providing a ski-in, ski-out of base to the vast Diablerets/Villars resort.
Fully equipped for two to four persons.
Smoking and pets are not permitted.

Ski: The Diablerets area is superb for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers alike. From the chalet's doorstep, the skier has access to over 220 km of pistes, in altitudes ranging from 1,100 to 3,000m, including the ski area at Glacier 3000. Much exists to make your family holiday as memorable and convenient as possible including children's ski centre, crèche, ice-rink, a 11 km sled run, and special low rates for family ski passes. The ski schools are excellent with very friendly instructors and there is a 'kids area' at the bottom of the Meilleret lift in Les Diablerets. There is an abundance of paths for winter hiking, snow shoeing and a cross-country skiing track which passes directly in front of the chalet. Glacier 3000, and its eternal snows guarantees spring skiing till the end of April. There is a snow park on the Glacier as well as in Villars/Le Bretaye.

Music Festivals: Chalet Chocolat is perfectly located for the Montreux Jazz Festival, which runs over 3 weeks in July and the Menuhin Classic Music Festival in Gstaad, running throughout the summer. During the winter, there is a classic music festival in Vers L'Eglise itself with concerts in the 11th Century village church every weekend (Festival Musique et Neige).

In the summer, hike the hundreds of kilometres of scenic hiking paths. Walk up to the Lac Retaud above Les Diablerets and snack at the small lake-side restaurant, which offers fabulous blueberry pies. If you are a mountain biker, this is a spectacular area, with different levels of difficulty available.
