Positive: The apartment is perfectly located in the charming Trastevere area, which we would highly recommend over staying in the city center. From here, you can easily reach the rest of Rome either on foot or by public transport. The apartment itself was clean, tidy, and as described on Booking.com. The interior design was nice (even though the room designs was a bit odd), the atmosphere comfortable, and overall we felt at ease during our stay.

Negative: Unfortunately, there were major issues with the shower temperature, which kept switching between hot and cold – most often cold. This made it very difficult to take a proper shower. We contacted the host, who initially asked us to check several things. When the problem continued, we were promised it would be fixed, but nothing was done. After that, the host stopped responding to our messages, which left us with the clear impression that this was a known issue. Taking a shower is incidental and the lack of response from our host made us enjoy a stay a bit less. It is simply not okay that we could not enjoy a shower after a long day of exploring the city in the summer heat. Additionally, the bed and pillows were extremely hard, which caused back and neck pain - we are two girls in our 20's. Finally, it should be noted that there is no sound insulation at all. Everything from the street can be heard, and since Italians tend to stay up late, this may be a challenge if you’re sensitive to noise. It wasn’t a big issue for us, but worth mentioning for others.
